Lindsey Ellett
As an ORISE fellow, Lindsey Ellett will be assessing PI-CASC’s project portfolio in order to help improve the impacts of their climate science and equivalent knowledge co-production. She looks forward to supporting guidance and solutions that balance complex environmental, social, and cultural goals, and that promote more equitable climate change adaptation work.
Lindsey earned her MS in resource conservation, international conservation and development from the University of Montana in 2021. Her master’s thesis involved completing stakeholder interviews and a policy analysis to explore the potential for increased transboundary marine management in the Sulu-Sulawesi Seascape (located between Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines). She also has an Honors BS in biology, with a concentration in marine biology and minor in psychology, from Oregon State University. During her undergraduate thesis work and post-graduation internships she assisted with whale and dolphin research and conservation, leading to field work experiences in the waters off of Massachusetts, Hawaiʻi, and Australia. She has also contributed to outdoor recreation monitoring and visitor use management research for the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail and Flathead River.
