Gerson Jackson is a retired civil servant, politician, and diplomat serving the office of the President of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). Mr. Jackson was born in Kosrae, and after completing graduate studies and teaching high school, he headed the Department of Resources, Development, Budget, and Planning Office for FSM. Mr. Jackson was elected to Lt. Deputy Governor of the State of Kosrae where he served three terms and was later appointed Consul General for the FSM Consulate in the U.S. Territory of Guam, and then FSM Ambassador to Fiji where he served until 2015. Currently, Mr. Jackson is a private consultant in Micronesia and the North Pacific and represents Micronesia on the Specialist Sub-Committee on Regionalism.
