Heather Kerkering

Heather Kerkering, Assistant Regional Administrator/Deputy for USGS PI-CASC, provides strategic planning and program support for PICASC’s climate adaptation portfolio across the Pacific region. Previously, she served in leadership roles for both the Pacific Islands and the Central and Northern CA Ocean Observation Systems. She holds a graduate degree in environmental management from Duke University, with expertise in natural resource management, community and stakeholder engagement, and project administration.
