PI-CASC seeking applicants for Assistant Regional Administrator position

PI-CASC logoApplications are being accepted for USGS PI-CASC’s Assistant Regional Administrator position from now until March 3, 2023, or until 150 applications have been submitted.

The Assistant Regional Administrator takes a leadership role in assisting with the development, negotiation, and implementation of all aspects of PI-CASC’s strategic operations. Primary responsibilities include managing the research-based investigations supported by the regional CASC and ensuring clear and effective communication among researchers and resource managers and stakeholders. This role shall also serve to establish and maintain partnerships among diverse agencies and organizations; represent PI-CASC at meetings; monitor relevant scientific advances in climate change adaptation; identify emerging climate adaptation information needs of stakeholders; and promote training and education in climate change and climate adaptation.

This is a full-time, permanent position. The selected applicant will need to reside in or relocate to the Hawaiian islands or the US-affiliated Pacific Islands, including the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, or American Samoa.
