PI-CASC Federal Director Mari-Vaughn Johnson briefs Hawai‘i Congressman Ed Case’s staff
PI-CASC Federal Director Mari-Vaughn Johnson had the chance yesterday to meet with Anthony Ching, a Legislative Assistant for Hawai‘i Congressman Ed Case, when he visited O‘ahu. With other USGS representatives Gordon Tribble, John Hoffman, and Vaughn Kunishige, Johnson helped brief Ching about work the USGS does in Hawai‘i and across the Pacific Islands. This was a prime opportunity to highlight some of the great work PI-CASC is funding and partnering in the region on sea-level rise, water resources, drought preparation, coral reef health, and building island resilience. Occasions like this illustrate how congress continues to appreciate our efforts in the region!
