2020 Sees Dramatic Increase in Funding for the Entire CASC Network

Included in the recently signed 2020 congressional budget was a dramatic increase in funding for the entire CASC network, raising the total earmarked funds to $38 million. A significant portion of the money is designated to create a new “Midwest CASC,” while the remainder is anticipated to boost research funding at the original eight CASCs. This gratifying recognition of the positive work we are contributing came about through concerted efforts by university consortia representatives from across the country and by continued strong support in both the House and Senate. We look forward to even better science collaborations and progress towards climate adaptation for ecosystems and communities this year and into the future!
