Free 4-part Workshop Series on Hawaiʻi Island

Lonoa Honua LLC is partnering with County of Hawaiʻi Office of Sustainability, Climate, Equity, and Resilience (OSCER) to conduct a participatory storytelling training to build capacity around relationship to place and protocols for defining sustainability through storytelling for participants as individuals and within community. Participants will apply the processes learned in their work, such as developing internal protocols and community engagement. The Lonoa Honua LLC and OSCER are seeking at least five (5) and no more than ten (10) Community Based Organizations (CBOs) that conducts community engagement in environmental and community resilience-focused work to participate in the training.

The training session(s) will be held between May 13, 2025 and August 10, 2025. Please apply only if your team can commit to all of the training sessions.

Orientation: Tuesday, May 13 5:30-6:30 pm

Workshops: Sundays 9-11 am in Hilo
