Pamphlet on sea level rise in vulnerable communities

September 24, 2024

The work of Pacific Islands CASC-supported researchers Karen Thorne and Dean Gesch was chosen by the State Department for inclusion in a pamphlet that will be part of UN Climate Week discussions. The pamphlet highlights areas most vulnerable to sea level rise and how to prepare. •Thorne and Gesch conducted research in the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands to develop models to better understand sea level rise vulnerabilities and to simulate future coastal inundation scenarios.
