PI-CASC releases the third and newest story map
December 3, 2024
Story maps have become an important tool for reaching audiences when content is geographically related and for experimenting with different options for visualizing information. PI-CASC has used this tool over the years, updating our story maps as the ESRI platform has updated its interface and layout options.
During the second host agreement period of PI-CASC’s history, 2019-2024, over 80 new research projects were initiated and conducted. Thus, a refreshed map with current information on the center was certainly needed. We have now launched our third and newest story map, “Pacific Islands Climate Adaptation Science Center: Our purpose, activities, and research, 2019-2025,” once again designed using the ESRI ArcGIS platform.
With beautiful pictures throughout of Pacific Island landscapes and people, the story map shares: who we are, what our focus areas and priorities are, the unique elements of our center set in the Pacific Islands and the climate challenges associated with the region, and the research that we have funded and facilitated across these years and miles, arranged by geographic locations.
Please explore our new product and share it with others who you think would benefit from learning more about our organization on a user-friendly platform.
