PDKE produces Guam factsheets on climate, wildfire

Pacific Drought Knowledge Exchange logoThe Pacific Drought Knowledge Exchange (PDKE) recently released three factsheets providing information on Guam’s climate, weather, and wildfire events.

The factsheets were created using a co-production model, and Guam-specific feedback was provided by the National Weather Service, the US Forest Service, the Guam Department of Agriculture, the University of Guam, and the Pacific Islands Development Program at the East-West Center. USGS PI-CASC funded the production of the factsheets.

PDKE has worked with partners and research managers to develop resources that can be used for educational purposes, staff training, and community outreach. In addition to the Guam factsheets, PDKE also has provided educational materials on drought in Hawai‘i, the Pu‘u Wa‘awa‘a Experimental Tropical Forest, and Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park.
