Funding Opportunity for U.S. Territories & Freely Associated States

The Office of Insular Affairs (OIA) announced that applications for fiscal year 2025 funding under OIA’s Technical Assistance Division have opened. The announcements for funding include the Technical Assistance Program (TAP), the Maintenance Assistance Program (MAP) and the Coral Reef and Natural Resources (CRNR) Program, which includes Invasive Species funding, all now open with a deadline of March 12, 2025. The announcement for the Brown Treesnake (BTS) program will open in December 2024 and interested individuals should continue to monitor Grants.gov.
The Technical Assistance Program provides funding to the following U.S. Territories: Guam, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the U.S. Virgin Islands; as well as the following Freely Associated States: Palau, The Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia. The top priorities for this Administration include, but are not limited to: Disaster planning and response, energy production, natural and cultural resources, youth programs, health initiatives and health IT systems, public safety/emergencies, data improvements, and climate change (including water, energy, invasives species, food security and coral reef management). Other priorities for this Administration include, but are not limited to: accountability, financial management, economic development, education, management control initiatives, capacity building, and information technology.
