March 4, 2025, 12-1 p.m.

This special one-hour lunchtime discussion is free and open to the public (online or in-person). Register at bit.ly/HSGSemMar2025.

Description:

Shifts in federal priorities are suddenly increasing reliance on local government to build sustainability and resilience in our island communities in response to a range of societal and climate-related challenges. Join this special seminar on UH Mānoa campus in HIG #210 to hear resilience and sustainability officers from the County of Kauaʻi, County of Hawaiʻi, and the City and County of Honolulu and learn more about their offices’ programs and priorities, discuss how they are reaching local communities, and discuss how the scientific community is currently informing and may better serve their efforts looking ahead.
