     Post-doctoral position in spatial modeling of bird habitat responses; Annapolis, MD
     Dr. Andrew Elmore and Dr. Matt Fitzpatrick at the University of Maryland's National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) are offering a two-year post-doctoral position to lead the development of spatial modeling methods to understand and predict changes in habitat resulting from forest management practices throughout the central Appalachian Mountains.      Post-doctoral position on climate change knowledge co-production; Alaska
     Climate change is occurring more rapidly in the Arctic than in any region on earth. Its impacts are being felt by indigenous peoples as well as throughout a range of societal sectors, including wildfire management. The Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy seeks a 2-year post-doctoral research fellow to explore knowledge co-production and boundary spanning assessment related to climate change in Alaska.      The Geological Society of America is seeking stdents (and recent graduates) between 18 and 35 to participate in the National Park Service Geoscientists-in-the-Park (GIP) program. GSA is specifically looking for Biological Assistant candidates from Hawaii for the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, Kailua Kona, Hawaii, which has expressed a preference for candidates who reside in or otherwise have ties to Hawaii.
